The AIDS Benefit Foundation of South Carolina raised $79,671 in 2007. 

 

Of this, $66,910 was raised by our primary event, Dining With Friends, which culminated with the grand Dessert Finale on April 28, 2007. Other fund raising activities by individuals and businesses brought in $10,293 with individual and corporate contributions making up the remainder.

 

The cost of fund raising events was $23,311. General overhead and administrative expenses were $4,834 or 6% of the amount raised. We have no employees and rent no office space. The Foundation's business activities, events, and its fund raising all are conducted by community volunteers and members of our volunteer board of directors.

 

We were pleased to be able to distribute $60,000 in 2007 grants to the organizations we serve, holding back a small reserve of cash to provide up front money for Dining with Friends 2008.
